Buying a home is a big undertaking. Making it feel like home is another.
Turnkey furnishing brings the planning, sourcing, ordering, delivery, installation, and styling together into one coordinated process. At A-Frame Studio, we help furnish homes in Crested Butte and the Gunnison Valley from the initial ideas through the finishing touches, so you can arrive and settle in.
There are the larger decisions—where everyone will sit, which dining table fits, what size beds to buy—and then all the smaller ones. Rugs, lamps, artwork, pillows. Somewhere along the way, you’re also tracking deliveries, assembling furniture, and figuring out what to do with a surprising amount of cardboard.
If you’re furnishing a home from out of town, those details become even more complicated. Having someone local to coordinate the process can make a world of difference.
A home that feels like yours
We start with how you want to use your home. Will it be a quiet retreat for two or a gathering place for extended family? Do you have young children, dogs, frequent guests? Are there pieces you already own and love?
Then we talk about style, budget, and what would make the space feel good to you. You might have a clear vision, a few saved photos, or simply know that the current furniture isn’t working.
Those conversations guide the selections. The goal is a home that feels comfortable, personal, and suited to your everyday life.
What does turnkey furnishing include?
Depending on your needs, a furnishing plan can include sofas and chairs, dining furniture, beds, rugs, lamps, artwork, bedding, and decorative accessories.
We consider how those pieces work together: their size, placement, materials, and how they’ll hold up to the way you use your home. A beautiful sofa needs to fit through the door, seat the people who gather there, and feel comfortable at the end of the day.
Once you’ve approved the plan and selections, we coordinate ordering and the logistics that follow: tracking items, arranging receiving and storage, and planning delivery and installation.
When the furniture is in place, the finishing work brings everything together. Artwork is hung, lamps find their spots, and textiles and accessories add warmth. Packaging is cleared away.
You still have a say in the decisions. You simply have someone carrying the process forward.

Furnishing a mountain home from afar
Coordinating deliveries around trips to Crested Butte can be challenging. Furniture from different vendors rarely arrives all at once, and a shipping notification doesn’t mean an item will be carried inside, assembled, or placed where it belongs.
Receiving and storage allow pieces to be gathered before a coordinated installation. That means fewer individual deliveries for you to work around and a local contact keeping track of what’s arrived and what’s still on the way.
For second-home owners, this support can make it easier to spend your time here enjoying the home.
Does it have to be the whole house?
Turnkey furnishing can cover an entire home or a few spaces that need attention. It can also incorporate existing furniture. Sometimes a room needs a fresh start; sometimes a few thoughtful additions make what you already have work better.
It’s helpful for homeowners coordinating a project from afar, but it’s equally suited to full-time residents who would like help bringing their spaces together.
How long does turnkey furnishing take?
We typically plan for around 12–14 weeks, though the timeline depends on the scope of the project, how quickly selections are finalized, product availability, and delivery schedules.
If you’re hoping to have your home ready for a particular season, family gathering, or move-in date, share that early. We can plan around your priorities and discuss what’s realistic before ordering begins.
How is turnkey furnishing priced?
Our pricing has three key components:
A flat-rate design fee for planning your spaces and selecting furnishings and decor.
The cost of your furnishings, with exclusive A-Frame client discounts.
A project management fee that covers shipping, receiving, white-glove delivery, installation, trash removal, and final styling.
We walk through all three with you upfront, so you know what to expect—from the first design ideas to a home that’s ready to enjoy.
